Welcome to the Flamingo class.

In the Flamingo class Miss Joanne White is the Class Teacher. Megan Rose-Hall and Tracey Taylor are the Year 2 Teaching Assistants and these two members of staff work across Year 2 every morning depending on the needs of the pupils and how the Year 2 teachers plan to use their skills most effectively. All of the adults who work in the Year 2 classes work hard to provide exciting learning opportunities for the children that are linked to the new National Curriculum and that are relevant to them.

The Year 2 children learn across the two classroom, in the library area, in the garden area and outside on the playground. They have lots of opportunities to learn in a variety of ways, for example through practical activities, independent learning, educational visits and also visits from people in our local and wider communities.

As Year 2 children in an Infant and Nursery School they have lots of responsibilities; to set good examples in school and on the playground, to have the responsibility of being play leaders and school council members, and to help the younger children in school to become ECO friendly.
